    2. Mrs. Polly Young Hoskins passed peacefully in her sleep, early Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2017 at the age of 88. Born June 12, 1929 at the Young family homestead in Owl's Nest, near Hyden, KY., she was fifth of 13 children. A devoted Mother & Grandmother, as well as an accomplished seamstress, she also enjoyed all types of crafts, woodworking, gardening & sewing. She was a strong, hard-working woman who loved as ferociously as she protected those whom she loved. Polly was preceded in death by her parents: Dan Young & Temple (Collins) Young; her husband of 62 years: Shade Hoskins ; Daughter: Barbara (Hoskins) Adams; Brothers: Mannon, Henry, Bob, Burley & sisters, Bernice & Vestie. She is survived by her son: Doug Hoskins; daughters, Loretta Cathcart, Joy Hollon & Brenda Martin; Brothers: Ed, Paul, Noah & David; sisters, Matilda & Vadis. She remains in the loving memory of her 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren & a host of other relatives & friends.     2. Wilson Baker born February 13, 1939 departed this life on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center, Hazard, KY. at the age of 78. Wilson was born at Cinda, Ky., the son of the late Farmer Baker & Minnie Morgan. Wilson was a retired coal miner having been employed by Whitaker Coal, Blue Diamond Coal Co., & Leeco Coal Co. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, Ky., and was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. Wilson was an avid University of Kentucky basketball & Cincinnati Reds supporter. He enjoyed music especially playing the guitar, banjo and mandolin. Wilson also enjoyed rabbit hunting & had a passion for his beagles. Wilson's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. She passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Hyden Health & Rehab Center, Hyden, KY. at the age of 77. Mary had been a life-long resident of Leslie Co. She had been a factory worker in the plastics industry & was a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of children, spending time with her family, walking, shopping & cooking. Mary was a member of the New Hope Community Church at Warbranch, KY. Mary Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert Paul Asher, brothers: Patrick & John Wayne Asher, sister: Scarlet & nephew, Patrick Wayne Mellons.
