This is a different cemetery than the Judd-Miller Cemetery on SR1760. >From another post I found that James M. Miller was in the 14th KY Infantry , and he, his wife Mary, Lou and Wilson P. Compton Sr. are buried in this cemetery. There was an old stone marker that faintly read the name William Miller, b. 1828, but it has since been deteriorated, as has James Miller's.... this cemetery has many graves, unmarked, and lies hidden under a crop of pine trees, uncared for. The Miller Cemetery on Piney Point Farm Rd. contains one huge granite marker, for Brit Compton (Josiah Albritton Compton), b. 1874, d. Mar. 31, 1915 in Hellier, Pike Co., KY.....son of Wilson Perry Compton Sr., and Mary LouAnna Wolfe Compton. Brit died from a slate roof fall in the coal mine that he was a shift foreman/fireboss at. Brit's daughter Virgie Compton is buried beside him, as well as his parents. This copied from someone else. I have not visited the cemetery Frankie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
