LAURA SPENCER Mrs. Laura E. Spencer, 78, Rt. 1, Louisa, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at her residence following a sudden illness. Mrs. Spencer was born June 20, 1894, at Rt. 1, Louisa, a daughter of the late Lewis and Mary Collins Spencer. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist for 64 years. Her husband, Charles Spencer, died in 1950. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy McKinster, Mrs Arthur Moore and Mrs Mary McKinster all of Rt. 1, Louisa, and Mrs. Ivie Thompson of Columbus; three sons, Charles Spencer of Redwood, Calif.;and Chester and Kenneth Spencer, both of Webster, Fla.; a sister, Miss Genoa Spencer of Portsmouth; 27 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grand-child. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Spencer Freewill Baptist Church by Gallie Isaac and John Fraley, ministers. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery at Rt. 1 Louisa. Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Arthur Moore at Rt. 1, Louisa, where the body has been taken from the Young Funeral Home.
