JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON AUDREY LYONS FROM THE SPRINGFIELD (OH) NEWS-SUN 8/25/09 Audrey Lowe Lyons, 88, of Springfield, OH died August 22, 2009 at Forest Glen Health Campus. She was born April 18, 1921 in Lowmansville, KY, the daughter of the late Roy and Zella Victoria (Stevens) Lowe. Audrey retired from F.W. Woolworth. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Springfield, OH where she was active in the church's quilting group for many years. She was a member of the Women's Bowling League for several years and went to several tournaments throughout Ohio. She also enjoyed senior citizens activities, going on several trips, and one cruise. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were a delight to her and she always enjoyed having them around. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Frank Lyons in 1999; one son, Charles E. Lyons; three sisters, Ireta Edwards, Juanita Johnson, and Datha Nelson and two brothers, George Lowe and Leroy Lowe. She is survived by four sons, Harold and Susan Lyons of Springfield! , James and Marjorie Lyons of Urbana, OH, Paul Lyons of Springfield, and Jerry Lyons and Diana Woyat of Urbana; one daughter Judie Miller and Lloyd Harvey of Worthington, OH; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Lyons of Beavercreek, OR; fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; two brothers Les (Glenda) Lowe of TX and Herb Lowe of Springfield; two sisters Grace (Harry) Tomlinson of FL and Sue (Jerry) Kuykendall of NC; two brothers-in-law Woody (Liz) Lyons of MI and John (Shirley) Lyons of Springfield; one sister-in-law Margie E. Lyons of Springfield and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held on August 26, 2009 from 1PM to 3 PM at JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME- Springfield, with a celebration of Audrey's life beginning at 3 PM. Reverend Ron Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Plattsburg Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Audrey's name to the Mercy Hospice, C/O The Mercy Foundation, 1343 N. Fountain ! Blvd., Springfield, OH 45504.
