He married Victoria (aka Virginia) Hardwick, daughter of Evaline Hammond and George Hardwick. (Evaline daughter of Wm Speed Hammond and Elizabeth Fluty. George son of Richard Hardwick and Susannah Cox.) William born Sept 23, 1865 in Louisa, KY; died March 7, 1939 in Weston, WV. Death cert shows parents as Phillip Hammond and Allifair Chafin. Came from Louisa, KY with wife and all 5 kids to WV. By 1910 census he was widowed living with daughter Hattie & son James. No 1900 info available. (Kentucky courthouse fire destroying records also a problem.) Have info to share on Wm's kids and various other lines. Kids are: Hattie F, George W, William D, Vergie and James A.
