JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON SHERRY BOGGS FROM THE SPRINGFIELD (OH) NEWS-SUN 10/14/08 Sherry Roberts Boggs, 61, died October 12, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Ollie and Emma (Issac) Roberts, she was born June 8, 1947 in Louisa, KY and married Clarence P. Boggs on June 23, 1963. Sherry was employed at the Village Inn for 26 years, belonged to the Eagles and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her spouse, Clarence P. Boggs, daughter Christina (Terry) Roseberry, son Paul (Holly) Boggs. Brothers Bill (Janet) Roberts, Fred (Louise) Roberts of Louisa, KY. George (Betty) Roberts of Ashland, KY, Noah (Nancy) Roberts of Dayton, OH. Sisters, Claudia (Arbie) Ison of Columbus, OH, Frances (Joe) Smith of Mechanicsburg, OH, Edye (Tim "Squirt") Roland. Sister-in-laws Edna Irwin of Pickerington, OH, Clarice (Ronald) Ison of Blaine, KY, Adoptive daughter Darla Randall. Grandchildren Troy Boggs, James Boggs, Eric (Leslie) Roseberry, Amber (Josh) Walker, Travis (Jen) Boggs, Sherra Roseberry, and Dalton B! oggs. Great grandchildren Eli Boggs, Haylie Roseberry, Joslyn Roseberry, Ryleigh Miller. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law Ronald and Alta Boggs, Hazel Riley, brother Denver Roberts, sister Carrie Kitchen and niece Teresa Long. Special thanks to Dr. Morman, Dr. Khanna and the staff at Springfield Regional Cancer Center, Community Mercy Hospice, and special friend Sue Draper. A gathering of family and friends will be held October 15, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, MECHANICSBURG, OH. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 16, 2008. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, OH with the Rev. Clay Baldwin officiating. Contributions in Sherry's honor may be made to the Mechanicsburg Schools Washington DC trip, in care of Ce Green 60 High Street, Mechanicsburg, OH 43044 or to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206.
