AMASA GREEN was born 11-22-1830 and died 8-9-1914 at the age of 84yrs-8ms-17dys. Her death certificate (#21627) lists her name as AMAZIE CASTLE. Her father is identified as ENOCH GREEN and her mother as ELIZABETH CHANDLER. Her cause of death was due to "Senile Dementia" She was married 2-9-1860 at George's Creek, Lawrence Co. KY to HENRY FERRIS CASTLE. He was born 4-23-1841 and died 7-16-1914 due to "Killed by Lightning". He was 73yrs - 2 mos-23 dys. His DC (#18889) identifies his father as LINZIE CASTLE In both case the DC's indicate they were buried in Lawrence County. A further search indicates they are buried in the CASTLE CEMETERY. A monument appears to be in place for HENRY and it reads as follows: HENRY FARRIS CASTLE April 22 1830 - July 16 1914 PVT CO B 68TH KY INFANTRY CIVIL WAR There was no listing for AMASA CASTLE ENOCH GREEN married lst on 4-17-1831 in Cabell County, Virginia (now West Virginia) to ELIZABETH CHANDLER ENOCH GREEN married 2nd on 9-16-1873 in Lawrence Co Ky to ELIZABEH RICE (another source says her name is MORRIS) ENOCH GREEN born 12-21-1812 in Patrick Co Va and died 6-21-1887 in Lawrence Co KY(or Johnson Co).
