She has made her home with her daughter in Powell, Ohio for the past 14 years. Surviving Florence are daughters, Sandra Jenkins of Powell, Ohio and Glenna Meadows of Newark, Ohio; five granddaughters, Stacy (Paul) Shirley of Cincinnati, Krista (Keith) O'Reilly of Columbus, Ohio, Patricia (Shams) Khwaja of Fresno, CA, Mary (David) Montgomery of Dayton, Ohio and Ashley (John) Morgan of Newark, Ohio; ten great grandchildren, Margaret and Maxwell Shirley, Allison and Hannah O'Reilly, Aydin and Syrus Khwaja, Lily and Madeline Montgomery and Jakob and Andrew Morgan; brother, Ralph Chandler of New Bern, North Carolina. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Ballard J. Cassell who died June 30, 1986; infant daughter, Helen Cassell; great grandson, Aydin Khwaja; son-in-law, Ronald Jenkins; brothers, Joe Chandler and Durward Chandler; sisters, Hazel Le Master, Audrey Van Hoose and Ruby Frostad. Visitation for Florence will be Noon till time of service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2010 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. Rev. Some family members believe that Hiram Pennington was the son of James Curtis who was first married to Sarah Fairchild and then to a Pennington.
