Welch GRANT, Ala. -- Andrew Carlton Welch, 41, of Grant died with his family, Oct. 13, 2004, as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Hunter (Woodruff County). He was born Jan. 1, 1963, in Houston, Texas, to Robert Welch and Linda Jewell. He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and the University of Arkansas. He was employed as a mechanical engineer with NASA in Huntsville, Ala. He was a missionary with The Mercy Ships. Survivors include his father, Robert Welch and wife Judy of Fayetteville; his mother, Linda Jewell of Virginia Beach, Va.; one sister, Betsy Foster of Charlottesville, Va.; aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fellowship Bible Church in Lowell with Dr. Gary Harrell and Dick Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Joyce Welch GRANT, Ala. -- Joyce McCauley Welch, 42, of Grant died with her family Oct. 13, 2004, as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Hunter (Woodruff County). She was born May 13, 1962, in Rantoul, Ill., to Earl Samuel McCauley and Noriko Edgar Sato. She was a graduate of Winn High School and attended the University of Arkansas. She was a homemaker and was a missionary with The Mercy Ships. Survivors include her mother, Noriko and husband James Edgar of Winn; her father, Earl McCauley of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one sister, Lorena and her son, John Newby of Winn; one brother, Earl and wife Alice McCauley of San Francisco, Calif.; maternal grandmother, Sagiku Sato of Tokyo, Japan; uncle, Dr. and Mrs. Naoki Sato of Tokyo. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fellowship Bible Church in Lowell with Dr. Gary Harrell and Dick Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Samuel C.
