They told me to make sure I wasn't marrying my cousin! My father's family the HERRON'S are from Laurel and HIS family frequently inter-married into the JONES. I have a booklet that my cousin Dean JONES did back in 1977 so I looked to find a connection from his writings. The only one I found is this. From what I can tell from Dean's Chart it reads like this: JOHN ROBERT JONES, { s/o JOHN "JACK" JONES, JR. } b. 1854 / d.1931. Married: JANE WHITT, b. 1852 / d. 1918 Had a daughter: Carrie F. JONES, b. 1878 / d. 1967 married Jessie Elic SPEAK, b. 1872 / d. 1946 .....They had 8 children, and one daughter Lelia Jane SPEAK, married ED MOORE........ Their Oldest daughter Violet MOORE MARRIED**** JASPER BROUGHTON { I have no dates for these.} Also, there is a JOB BROUGHTON in the Laurel Co. Records but I don't know how they are connected. I do know that the BROUGHTON'S live around Crab Orchard, Lincoln & Garrard Co., since my children do stay in contact with them
