Murphy b: May 18, 1848 in Estill County, Kentucky d: Aug 16, 1916 in Cressmont, Lee County, Kentucky m: Jun 22, 1869 in Jackson County, Kentucky ......... 2 Henry Spivey d: Aft. 1934 ............. +Pearl Dickson ELLIE SPIVEY was from Jackson County, Kentucky, but Jackson was not formed at the time of her birth. She apparently died about 1881 in Laurel County, Kentucky. She is shown there with family, her youngest son David being born in 2-1880. Elhannon remarried by 6-1882. Elhannon was not unmarried for long according to the family, so Ellie may have died as late as Spring of 1882. Excerpt from letter of Cornelia Stephens (da-in-law of Martha Murphy Stephens. Martha was daughter of Ellie Spivey, sister of Henry), dated 8-12-1990, Frankfort, Kentucky. Howard and I lived with Mammy and Papie Stephens a year after we married. (Married 2-1934. PWB) I remember an Uncle Henry Spivey coming to visit them. He was Mammy's uncle. I don't remember where he lived, or if he was married. Thanks for any help. Pat W. Ball
