Hodges Tony E. Hodges, age 72, of Fairfield, passed away at Jewish Hospital of Kenwood on Saturday, January 29, 2005, at 11:52 p.m. He was born in Laurel County, Kentucky, on February 2, 1932, the son of Willie and Minnie (Johnson) Hodges. An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Tony was employed as central parts department manager for Advanced Drainage System for over twenty years, retiring in 1997. He was an avid gardener and member of Zion United Baptist Church. On October 4, 1996, in Fairfield, he married Katherine A. McCreadie. A joy to all, he touched the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Katherine A. Hodges of Fairfield; five children, Brenda Dunn of Illinois, Ron (Tammy) Hodges of Lebanon, Soundra (Ray) Roberts of Loveland, Mike (Jenny) Gorman of Sardinia, and Missy (Brian) Betz of Oxford; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Robert, Clyde, Otis, John, and Wendell, all of Florida, Mendell and Don, both of Ohio; two sisters, Alla Lee Winkle and Pearl Marcum, both of Kentucky; and a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons, and a grandson, Brandon. Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, February 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Hodges, former pastor of Zion United Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
