Roaten How is this line connected to our Forbis family? There could be other links from Elizabeth Forbis Ferree/Free Jones. Elizabeth and Capt. James Jones stayed in Yadkin NC. but some of the children moved to Kentucky and Tennessee. Through this line we have Speers \Spears and a lot of Jones. Elizabeth's brothers James, Robert, John and George E. Forbis Jr. came out with Daniel Boone to Ky. and by 1783 had sold there land in NC. In the 1790 census James was in Green County, Robert and in Henry Co. John or George E. Jr. I believe was killed in the battle of Estills Defeat ( No Prof) and I have no information on John or George E. Forbis Jr. Pat Forbis ----- Original Message ----- From: "ROATEN E HINSON, JR." <roaten@prodigy.net> To: <KYLAUREL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, February 17, 2005 12:14 AM Subject: RE: [KYLAUREL-L] James-Matilda Moore > Thanks Pat for this information.
