Freeman, born 20 Oct, 1806 in KY, died 10 May 1873 in Saline County, MO. He mar. Louisa Estil Reid on 12 Feb. 1828 in Laurel Co. KY. Louisa Reid, born 12 Dec. 1812 in Laurel Co. and died 11 Jan. 1877, Saline Co, MO. George W. Freeman was the son of John Freeman and Rebecca Read. Louisa Reid was the daughter of Thomas Reid and Susan Shelton. John Freeman, born 15 March, 1764 in Fauquier Co, VA, probably the son of John Freeman. He died 5 Feb. 1841 in Laurel Co. KY. John Freeman mar. Rebecca Read 15 March, 1791 in Culpeper Co. VA. She was the daughter of John Read of Culpeper. Rebecca Read Freeman, born 19 Feb, 1773 and died 19 Feb. 1849 in Laurel Co. KY. My descent is through George and Louisa's daughter, Elizabeth Susan Freeman, who mar. Mitchell Morrison Lee 26 July, 1849 in Pettis County, MO. Since I do not know how much information you have, do not know how much you need. Perhaps you already know that John Freeman was in the American Revolution and got bounty land. It may have been part of the land he owned in Laurel County, KY and on which they built the Wilderness Road Inn. The Inn was destroyed by fire a few years ago. It was south of London. KY, near the Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park. There is a highway marker at the site and the Freeman cemetery is there, also. John and Rebecca and a son are buried in it. We were there in Sept, 2003, the stones in very bad shape. Rebecca's was on the ground. Hope this helps. Pat from MO
