OZELLE GEORGE AFTON, Okla. - Ozelle George, longtime Afton resident, died at her home, February 11, 2004, after an illness. She was 88. She was born August 31, 1915, at Antlers, OK, to John F. and Avis D. Neely Fronterhouse. She moved with her parents to Bisbee, AZ, where she finished high school. She moved to Afton in 1932. She married H.O. George on November 16, 1935, at Vinita. He preceded her on July 16, 1998. She was of the Baptist faith for over 65 years, and was a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Afton. Survivors include two sons, Gary George and wife Ruth Ann of Miami and Church George of Afton; two daughters, Brenda Nowlin and husband Jerry, of Tulsa and Patsy Jamison and husband Don of Vian; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, a son, Billy Leon George, a grandson Brittan Nowlin, two brothers, Quinton F. and Ted F. Fronterhouse, and a sister, Edna F. Hill. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2004, at Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Afton, with Rev. Joe Don Olds and Rev. Wendall Brown officiating. Pallbearers were David Dillingham, Henry Frellick, Charles Gibson, Aaron Schacht, Greg Ratliff and Dean Fisher. Burial followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Afton under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home.
