There is a lot of confusion on the Mary Henson/Mary Daniel Duncill thing. My grandmother always said her grandmother was Mary Henson, her birth year being 1830. Madison and Mary had my g g grandmother, Mary House in April of 1853. When I looked at the 1880 Census, Madison and "Polly" are listed in Pigeon Roost, Clay County, KY. Madison is 60 and Polly is 50. That would be 1819/20 for him and 1829/30 for her for a birthdate. My grandmother, Mary, is listed as 25 years old, which would be correct. It also lists my grandmother's brothers, Perry, Sherman, and another one that I can't remember off the top of my head. Mary Daniel Duncill was born in 1824, so that can't be the Polly listed on the 1880 census. Mary Henson could not have died in childbirth prior to 1839, as she was born in 1830 and would only be 9 or 10! I'm wondering if Mary Daniel Duncil was married to him first and then Mary Henson?? Was there children with both of them and he was married to Mary Daniel Duncil???
