Hamilton Hospice Unit on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 9:25 PM. She was born in Laurel County, Kentucky on August 22, 1943 the daughter of Elmo and Edith (Chestnut) Day. On May 23, 1959 in Hamilton she married Everett Allen, who preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by five sons, Edward (Maureen) Allen of Woodbine, Iowa, Everett Jr. (Cheryl) Allen, Terry Lee (Luwana) Allen, Dale Allen, and Chad Everett Allen, all of Hamilton; one daughter, Cheryl Rene (Craig) Kellam of Indian Springs; her father, Elmo Day of Hamilton; four brothers, Bill (Kim) Day, Wayne (Robin) Day of Hamilton, Tony (Marlene) Day of Hamilton, and Bobby Day of Blanchester; two sisters, Janet (Jack) Hoaglan of Hamilton and Clara (Randal) Adams of London, Kentucky; and six grandchildren, Tara, Emma, Jessie, Gage, CJ, and Cassie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Catron. Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue on Monday, January 31, 2005 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Damon Retherford of Brown Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Ft. Hamilton ICU.
