To whom was your Sherman House married? I have a Sherman b. 1866 who around 1802 married Elvira Bowling but I believe he may have been too young to be your Sherman. They are both buried at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Elvira was my grandfather's sister. They are on the 1900 US Census. My brother said they raised a boy but he had never heard of their raising girls. Perhaps it was before the boy came to live with them. Do you know when the girls were taken to them?
