Jess, It was me Geri Delph Fessel , that wrote you & came to your home , trying to find any information on my ggggrandfather Benjamin Franklin Delph,You sent me papers to get his pension papers, I got them & it said on one of his checks , that he had died & the check was sent back, The checks were sent to Livington ,Ky. I sent some Quaries to Rockcastle Co. Was told there was no listing of any cemeteries that had his name nor his wife Dorcas name.I then went up there & ask at the libary, we check all their papers & books . I wanted to get him a civil war grave stone, But can't find out where he is buried at. Quoting Jess Wilson <jswlsn@prtcnet.org>: > Olan, I have found the pension file of Benjamil F. Geri, I think you can get a memorial stone and place it in any cemetery that will accept it. I think that you have to explain why you do not know where he is buried. After all a stone is something that says "Remember me. " more than it says, "Here is buried some musty bones." Jess you proved that to me with my gg grandfather John Simpson's Revolutionary War stone. It is what is on top of the ground, not what is beneath it, that keeps the memory alive.
