I am showing Hannah Henson married to William Hamilton Tincher in my data-base ... only information I have is that possibly both died at Mitchell, Lawrence Co IN. I am showing a possible? sister of Hannah Henson married to a John Gosset August 20, 1832 Clay Co KY (Bondsman was a William Tincher). I am showing Winefred/Winetry 'Winnie' Henson, who married James Theopholus Lewis, as a daughter of Paul Henson and Elizabeth Unknown of Wilkes/Ash Co NC. I am showing Paul Henson died abt 1796 in Wilkes Co NC. A land deed dated Oct 08, 1896 named his children as; William, Martha, Winefred/Winetry, Paul JR, James, John, and Richard. Paul JR is the one who settled in Clay Co KY area along with some of his brothers, including William Henson who settled in Knox Co KY married to Ann Jacobs. I am thinking my gggrandfather George W Henson b abt 1799 NC may be a son/relative of this Henson line that came out of Wilkes/Ash Co NC, but I don't have any connection established at this time. Need help obviously in finding the parents of George W Henson who showed up in the 1828 Laurel Co KY Tax List, and later in the 1847/48 Laurel Co KY Tax Lists with a 'John Henson'. Who is this 'John Henson' who showed up in the 1847/48 Laurel Co KY Tax List? Sure would be a major breakthrough if anyone knows anything about this John Henson. Thanks for your help and sharing. Thanks Roaten. In looking back through some things, I did find a note that William Hamilton Tincher and Hannah Henson had a son Joseph and a daughter Polly. Apparently when Joseph died "Hamilton" Tincher was the caregiver of Joseph's children. I descend from William Hamilton Tincher and his other wife Mary Polly Barker (d/o Elias Barker and Rachel Unknown). The Winnie Henson/James T. Lewis line is my son's line.... through their son Joseph... Mathias... Mathias (Jr.)... Mae. In my data-base, I am showing William Hamilton Tincher with a another wife (2nd wife?)named Sarah 'Sally' Skinner with a son Joseph (was Joseph with his first wife Hannah Henson?). I am showing William and Sally Skinner-Tincher as having the following children; Nancy ... married Thomas 'Abe' McQueen April 05, 1824 Clay Co KY (bondsman William H Tincher), Elias, Joseph, Isabelle ... married Samuel McQueen June 02, 1828 Clay Co KY. does any of this tie into anything you know or is anyone reading this able to add to this information? I don't show a Sally Skinner as a wife of William Hamilton Tincher. I'm showing the children you mentioned as being children of William Hamilton Tincher and Mary Polly Barker. I show 15 children for them: Elias Barker Tincher (md Rebecca Ashcraft), William H. (md Matilda Bowman), George (md Jane Percifield), Nancy (md Thomas McQueen), An Unknown Child, Isabelle (md Samuel McQueen), Martin (md Elizabeth Peacock), Joseph (md Esther Shelton), Mary, James M., Robert, Thomas, Jackson, Elizabeth and Greenberry. I also have Joseph and Polly as children for W.H. and Hannah Henson. The information I have came from the book "The Tincher Tribe". I can double check it (not saying that everything in it is totally accurate or that it isn't).
