I have a James Stewart b abt 1829 in my data-base, married to Elizabeth Bruner of Laurel Co KY. James is a son of John Stewart b abt 1799 TN and Sarah 'Sally' Durham who settled in Laurel Co KY. Deronda, Thank you for your help but I don't see any names on your list that match mine. My great grandfather's name was Marret (Mount) Stewart. He married Betty Ann Sester in Clay County in December of 1875. They moved to Rockcastle County, Scaffold Cane at some point in time. That is about all I know about him. I found a Marret Stewart listed in 1860 census living in New Castle, Henry County, KY. I think that may be him as it is an unusual name. He is listed with Betty and children as Mount in the 1910 census. On the 1920 census Betty is listed as head of house iving close to her son Cornelius (Kernel) Stewart in Jackson County, Pond Creek. I assume Marret (Mount) passed away within that time period. I would love to know anything about Marret Stewart's line and would like to know where either he or Betty are buried. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
