I am showing Lucinda 'Lucy' Moore as being born May 17, 1851 Laurel Co KY marrying Henry H Cathers on September 14, 1866 Laurel Co KY ... this 'Lucy' Moore is noted as a daughter of Thomas Moore and Sarah 'Sally' McFadden. Now, I am showing another Lucinda 'Lucy' Moore abt 1846 who married James House December 06, 1860 Laurel Co KY ... this 'Lucy' Moore b abt 1846, I am showing as the daughter of James 'Jimmy' Wise Moore and Lucinda Evans who married Jan 28, 1828 Clay Co KY. Can anyone confirm what I have stated is correct? I would like to have the information in my family data-base to be as accurate as possible. Thanks for any help and sharing. Moore daughter of Thomas Moore and Sarah "Sally" McFadden...on the 1850 census it lists Lucy A. Moore age 4 which would mean that she was born about 1846. I also have a transcription of a deed made to her after the death of her father Thomas which lists Lucy A. House late Lucy A. Moore and her husband James House. (She and James were married Dec. 6 1860). I have that she married Henry Cathers in 1866 and that they did have quite a few children....I have not substantiated this information, but according to the marriage index from 1826 to 1937 it lists H H Cathers and L A Moore Sept. 14 1866. If this is the same person, I don't know if she and James House divorced and if she "took back" her maiden name, don't know if she and James had any children, or if he died....I would be interested in any additional information that you may have on her since she was my great grandfather's sister!
