Good morning, Clay county has never been offline and the site that you are referring to is gone with good reason. The official USGenWeb Clay county site is located at http://www.rootsweb.com/~kyclay2/ and is up and running and has been. The site that you refer to had been abandoned and not updated in well over a year. If you would like to see something on the Clay county site or if you would like to add something to it please send it to me at pasttracker@sbcglobal.net Warm regards, Katy Hestand Clay County Coordinator -----Original Message----- From: RKIEE011@wmconnect.com [mailto:RKIEE011@wmconnect.com] Sent: Thursday, January 27, 2005 9:31 AM To: KYLAUREL-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [KYLAUREL-L] troubling Is there nothing that can be done to get Clay Co. back up and going it is bad to see a web page as popular as this one was to see it just go away. Katy, Are you maintaining the Laurel County website at url: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kylaurel/. I authored the military pages in the past and sent updates to the coordinator. I would like to send an update to the Civil War Veterans of Laurel Co page. If you are the Laurel Co coordinator for the web pages let me know and I will send the updates. Thanks! Hi John, Yes indeed, I am the coordinator of Laurel county also. I have Monroe county as well. All of the counties have family ties and will be getting more attention now that I am doing research all the time and no longer working for anybody but myself. Also, just in case any of you have my address in your books at earthlink.net, that address is no longer valid. I am in the process of updating pages wherever that address is. You can always check the register for the latest address, which is pasttracker@sbcglobal.net Warm Regards, Katy Hestand Professional Genealogist www.past-trackers.com USGenWeb Coordinator AHGP Coordinator -----Original Message----- From: John Moore [mailto:lead5alpha@comcast.net] Sent: Thursday, January 27, 2005 11:12 AM To: KYLAUREL-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [KYLAUREL-L] troubling Katy, Are you maintaining the Laurel County website at url: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kylaurel/.
