My Father ( Mack Mayne) have spoken of Lief Jones before many years ago. My Father die in 1962. His Mother was Malinda Jones Mayne ,she married James L. Mayne. They had 15 Children. I think they are buried at Popalar Creek near Williamsburg, Ky. Hope this gives you a little information.
