I am writing a book on the Civil War in this area and would very much like to use the photo. I will scan the letter and send it to your email. I noticed in the library it had William's parents and grandparents listed. I forgot to write down their names, but I'm sure it said the Grandparents were from Rhode Island. Charity died tragically and William was initially blamed and he went to Indiana( i think). Charity's sister ( i think ) raised their children in Richmond, KY. by the way, I'm not related. thanks, wayne

The best I can figure the ferry was in use during the Civil war,it was a place for people to stop and rest, eat,etc.Can anyone out there share info on it.Where exactly it was located, who exactly ran it,when it was in operation, and when did it finally subside.Would appreciate any info.
