This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EBB.2ACE/2571.1 Message Board Post: Hello, I checked my 1920 Fed. Census for Laurel Co. and did not locate either of them in Laurel Co. Sorry. Joyce Taylor Collins La Palma, CA
I am looking for an obit. for Anna Marie Bill, 1839-1910, who lived near the Swiss Colony. She is buried in Pine Creek Cemetery. No day and month are on tombstone--only years. I don't know if she was on the census for 1910. Also, would like location of graves of Mary Bill, 4/30/ 1889, and Sherman M. Bill, 2/16/1896-6/6/1901. Newspaper account of Sherman's death says "Cemetery Hill". Thank you for your help. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EBB.2ACE/2575 Message Board Post: My New Years Resolution is to complete the Kentucky Death Certificate CD. I currently have 1500 DC's and would like to add about 500 more before I burn the CD's on the 15th of January so this is the LAST CHANCE to get me your DC's. Check out Tombstone Central for more information on this project. My second New Years Resolution is to get caught up on my two web sites before I have to start working on the third one. I know not all of the cemeteries I post are from Kentucky however, most people who send me the cemeteries have some kind of Kentucky Connection which is how they find the site. Therefore, you may want to take a look at the other states and cemeteries you never know who you will find. The new cemeteries from Pennslyvania have tombstones dating back to the mid 1700's maybe you can find a long lost relative mixed in the bunch. :-) That said the following 37 Cemeteries have been posted to Tombstone Central: ARKANSAS 1. Monette ILLINOIS FRANKLIN COUNTY 2. Zieger PULASKI COUNTY 3. Beech Grove Cemetery 4. New Hope Cemetery 5. Ohio Chapel Cemetery 6. Pisgah Cemetery 7. Wetaug -AKA-German reformed Cem UNION COUNTY 8. Anyone who has cemetery photos that they would like to see posted on the web site please contact me at foe3643@mac.com I CAN NOT respond to requests made on the lists. They get to off topic and I don't want to upset any list moms :-) Cassy.
Mary What you need is Standard Form 180 (SF180). You can get this form from any service organization, such as the DAV or American Legion, Service Officer. Your County may have a Veterans Service Officer also. Don't call the National Personnel Office (Government) in St. Louis cause they can't or don't have time to hunt it up without the proper paperwork (SF180). The VA can't tell you anything even though they may or may not have his records. If you can't get the form (SF180) from a local source, email me and I'll send you one. It won't cost you anything. I am a certified Veterans Service Officer in the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and have plenty of the SF180 forms.
