    3. Hi Ladies, If you will go to Find A Grave.com click on cemetery search, type in Ward Cemetery and when the site come up, scroll down and you will find a GPS map which shows the location. Ward Cemetery is off of route 363 south of London about half way between Corbin and London. Route 363 and I 75 run along together closely thru there. Hope this helps, Cosetta Hacker Dowdell Melbourne FL Shar748@aol.com wrote:I would also like to know where the Ward cemetery is.......My great great grandmother was Arthusia Ward, she married Andrew McHargue. 1. Re: [KYLAUREL-L] BEST LISTENER I EVER MET.
    2. Jess: I loved your story. Although, I've not had the privilege of conversing with such an impressive scientist as Phillip Morrison, there have been occasions when I have put myself in my place by becoming carried away with my own conversational prowess, only to learn later that my poor, tortured listener should have been teaching me about the subject, and I should have been listening. Interestingly to me, I've just finished reading the book, "The Making Of The Atomic Bomb," written by Richard Rhodes, and Phillip Morrison was included in the book. After reading your story, I looked at the bibliography and saw "Morrison, Philip. 1946. Beyond Imagination. New Republic. February 11......" The book by Rhodes was wonderful. By the way, my paternal grandmother was Mary Emmeline Wilson Yeager, and her Wilsons lived in or near Rose Hill, VA. Sarah

    1. BEST LISTENER I EVER MET.
    2. Jess Wilson
    3. BEST LISTENER I EVER MET. By Jess Wilson I fear that often I am a compulsive talker. I don`t need a great amount of encouragement to rattle off for an hour or so. Some of the people I meet are good listeners some are not. The best listener I have ever met was a little old man who came with some others for lunch at our cabin on Possum Trot.. After lunch he and I sat on the porch of the Corn Crib and he began asking questions and giving me his undivided attention until I had talked myself hoarse. He must have listened to me for most of three hours. There seemed to be no part of my life but what he wanted me to talk about. After he left I asked who he was. He was none other than Philip Morrison of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, one of the most brilliant minds of this century .I was told that he was one of the top 6 men in the development of the Atomic Bomb. After I was told who my audience had been that day, I remembered a verse I had heard my mother recite many times: "A wise old owl sat in an oak, The more he heard the less he spoke. The less he spoke the more he heard . Wasn't that a wise old bird.
