    3. Hildegard, Thank you again. This means so much to me. I'm actually doing this research for someone else. All he had was the names of his grandparents and that they came from Leslie County... and now we have so much more. I had been searching online and all I could find was the death of Earl Asher, and I wasn't even sure it was the correct Earl Asher. I'm doing the same thing with his paternal grandparents... all I have is the names (Matt Wagers and Lucy) and that they were from Clay County. Hopefully I'll find someone that can fill in some of the blanks or give me enough information that I will have somewhere to look. My step-fathers mother was a Sizemore from Leslie County. She married a Roark. I think shes been doing some research on those lines. Thanks again for your generosity. 2. Asher is not in my line, except that I had a brother-in-law whose mother was an Asher. The mother was Edna Asher m. William Moore. Edna was born and reared in the Redbird area, near or in Leslie County. Edna and William lived with their family in Knox County, where they died and were buried at Girdler, KY. Edna said that she had one brother who killed another brother. She told that to someone other than me, and, while I was curious, I never mentioned it to her, as I felt it might hurt her to talk about it. I don't know the names of her parents.

    3. Deronda We don't put our data on a website. Since Hermina Brinkmeier's death, I maintain the ASHER/COLLETT database We now have over 38,000 names of descendents and spouses in the database. We continue research - make corrections & updates, and add more names when they have been checked out. Many people just visit a website once, and mistakes would be perpetuated. (I have been trying to have a major mistake in the main SIZEMORE Website corrected - but have had no response) For the 2004 Annual Asher Reunion I printed the database in 3 volumes according to the mothers of Dillion Asher's 1777-1844 children. In the book, THE WILLIAM COLLETT (1760-1820/2) FAMILY OF SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY we included Dillion Asher's children and descendents with Sarah Collett and Elizabeth Collett, as well as their brother's Samuel Collett's (b 1801) because he married a niece of Dillion Asher. 3. Kathy, My grandfather and family is buried at Cemetery Hill. I also am researching the Bustle/Bussell line and I have not seen a marker for Ordatha Wyrick Bustle/Bussell in the cemetery. If shes buried there she may be in one of the many unmarked graves. Can you tell me who Ordatha Wyrick Bustle's parents were? The information I already have on her is information you have given to me in the past, but I don't have her parents. Also, where did you get the information that she was buried at Cemetery Hill? And can you tell me if she would have had any other family members buried there? I'm just wondering in what area of the cemetery she may be buried in. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EBB.2ACE/2618 Message Board Post: Web site update 4/09/05 http://www.historic-atlas-series.com/ The Historic Atlas Series has been updated to include township and precinct level atlases from Pennsylvania and Kentucky. By popular request, we are currently digitizing more of these kinds of atlas and map data, and will be adding more in the coming weeks. Kentucky: http://www.historic-atlas-series.com/ky_map/ky_index.html Pennsylvania: http://www.historic-atlas-series.com/pa_map/pa_index.html At the present, atlas CD's are offered from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Missouri, West Virginia and Virginia will be added later this year so please feel free to check back often. The Historic Atlas Series may be an invaluable aid to Genealogists, Historians and researchers in search of 19th century places and place names. Many early property owners are indicated on the township and precinct level maps making these a great resource for identifying 19th century land ownership. Each atlas includes the following 19th century features: * roads, railroads and canals * cities, towns and villages * post offices and government sites * one-room schoolhouses, churches and cemeteries * rivers, streams and ferries * industrial sites, furnaces and mills * early homesteads and farms * land ownership - and much, much more Details on early maps are often difficult to read and these are no exception; however, by virtue of high resolution Adobe PDF formatting, map documents may be inspected at high levels of magnification without additional digital distortion; something that simply cannot be accomplished with paper reproductions and photocopies. The Adobe Acrobat Reader for MS Windows is needed to view, zoom, pan and print from the PDF map images, and is included free on each CD. No other software is necessary. The map data has been created and configured using the Adobe Acrobat Reader (6.0) for MS Windows (98, 98SE, XP, NT and 2000). The maps may be viewed in earlier versions of the software as well; however, optimum use of the data can be expected using the Adobe Reader 6.0 that is included on each CD.
