    3. Hi Barb, Good grief. I have BROWN in Laurel county too. Do you happen to know who Martha Ann Brown's parents were? Teritha John Bustle had a sister named Saltillo. I have a copy of her death certificate. He was sheriff in Rockcastle County for a time and they had Lloyd, Dillard, Omar, Bessie and Clyde (that I remember) Lloyd married Betty Joe Hunt and they had three daughters, Linda Gail, Lisa G. and Lana K. Linda Gail was killed in an auto accident. Lisa and Lana are still alive. Lloyd died December 25, 1980 and Betty Joe died as a result of a fall April 25, 2004. Hope that adds a bit to your research. 2. Deronda and Kathy, John W. Bustle Jr. was married 2 times. His first wife was Martha Ann Brown who died of TB in 1864. They had 4 children- Elijah died in infancy, Sarah Jane m. Rev. James T. Ball, John William m. Margurite F. Ball, James Harrison m. 1. Nancy Ann Head 2. Mariah Mason. The second wife was Tritha Jones and they had 3 children. Robert m. 1. Ordatha Wyrick who died within a year. 2. Nigara Sams, Tillo m. Lasala Norton, Frances (Fanny) m. Jerry Sams. This is the info that I have. Robert may have been named James Robert which would account for the difference in the Echo's article. This family has so many Johns, Willis and James in each generation and they named their kids after their brothers and sisters. There are a couple of Teritha and Tillo names so it can be confusing. Hope this helps and doesn't confuse. Barb Helton

Surnames: McFadden Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EBB.2ACE/1503.1.1.2.1 Message Board Post: My connection with this family is my husband's grandfather was George Washington Hubbard and until his death would say he wasn't a Hubbard but a McFadden. I looked into what I could find and found that his grandmother, who was Lettie Gray, had to have had a child by a McFadden but later married a Hubbard and that is where that name came from. Many claim that the McFadden part didn't happen. Well, I don't know. I don't know anything else. Regardless, George W. Hubbard was b. in 1866 in Laurel County, Kentucky so he was probably correct about the McFadden being his rightful name. Wish I could help you and there are some strange things I've found in the census about the name if you want that information. Sincerely yours, Toni Messer

    3. Kathy, Those are the children I'm showing for John and Teritha. What I was wondering though was perhaps that James H. Bustle was maybe married a second time to a Wyrich (that we don't know about), since the Mt Echo said "Mrs. James Bustle" and didn't give her given name. Do you know if Ordatha had any sisters? Perhaps someone on the list would be kind enough to do a look up in the cemetery book that has A.R. Dyche Cemetery in it, to see if there are any Bustle/Bussells listed in it? 3. I am not a Moore researcher, but in my data-base created while researching my Henson ancestry, I am showing Thomas Moore b abt 1808 KY (see 1830/40/50 Laurel Co KY Census) as being a son of Moses Moore JR b bef 1790 Greene Co TN and 'Nellie' Moore. Showing Thomas had siblings; William, Lucinda, Orlancy/Oriana, Moses, and possibly an Affariah Moore who married Nancy Farris on Jan 14, 1836 Laurel Co KY. I have not proved any of this (not my family line) but it could possibly serve as 'very good leads' for someone researching the Moores of Laurel Co KY. If anyone reading this has any Henson information, please share it with me. Thank you. Roaten E 'R.E.'
