These CD's will be different from the last two in that most of the death certificates are Smith (about 30 percent) and most are from the following counties: 1. Bell 2. Clay 3. Harlan 4. Knox 5. Laurel 6. Whitley If you have death certificates to contribute to the CD or would like to get a copy please visit Tombstone Central http://www.tombstonezero.net/cassy/dc2.html to find out all the details. I will say about 80% of the Death Certificates this time are from the above counties so it is a treasure if you are researching in these areas. There are also a good number of Death Certificates from Carter and Greenup counties as well. Cassy. foe3643@mac.com

I believe to have come from Carter Co. Tennessee. I believe that some of my Robinson's came through Carter Co. also. I was wondering if these two David Spivey's are connected somehow?
The subject listed DYCHE... I am interested in a branch of the Dyche line. Mary Johnson - b. 1830; (married Allen DYCHE). I am interested in Mary's line. She is the daughter of George Washington (Wash) Johnson ( 1809-1888) and Lucy Ann Holman (1812 - 1886/7?). Wash and Lucy lived in Laurel County. It is the Johnson branch of this line that I am interested in. If you have any information regarding this line, I would love to hear from you. -----Original Message----- From: sbmoore@direcway.com <sbmoore@direcway.com> To: KYLAUREL-L@rootsweb.com <KYLAUREL-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Saturday, April 30, 2005 10:45 AM Subject: [KYLAUREL-L] Re: Dyche, Moore >This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > >Classification: Query > >Message Board URL: > >http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EBB.2ACE/1426.1446.1448.1450.1452. 1.1.2.2 > >Message Board Post: > >I understand from other notes that ths William Y. Email rec'd from descendant (SBMoore) I looked at your web cite. I’m attaching a note I sent to a cousin. It has a little more census information than yours. I believe the census taker got it wrong in the 1850 census for Thomas Moore’s family. I believe the child is Jarvis a male rather than Janis a female. Jarvis was born 10 FEB 1836 and died 21 JAN 1926 in Laurel Co., KY. He is buried in the Rough Creek Cemetery near London. Edmond was born 15 MAR 1833 and died 16 JUN 1877 in Sumner Co. KS. He is buried in the Porter Cemetery west of Belle Plaine, KS. It is possible that Thomas Moore was the son of Moses Moore and Nellie and grandson of Moses Moore and Elizabeth Davis. I have more info on them if you need it.

Just this week was researching information on John Bates of Clay Co., KY and found the following: "Zadoc was a veteran of the War of 1812. According to his grandson, Henry Clay Spivey, in an interview with John J. Dickey, Zadoc was from the area of the Nollichucky River in NC. Zadoc endentured his son, David, to John Bates on March 4, 1823 to learn the art of farming. - Public record, Clay Co. Court House. This is not my family, just searching Bates Family for a friend. Anna - Indiana
Sorry, I don't know anything about Sarah Robinson's parents. All I know is that she was born about 1792 in Tennessee. Bebee

Hi Barb, My husband is a descendant of the Wyrick and the Jones families, but not a direct descendant of the Bussell/Bustle line. The next youngest sister of Ordatha, Reasy Wyrick, was my husband's ggrandmother. Reasy married Robert "Bob" Jones, who was a nephew of Teritha's. Mary Alice, Thanks for the info on the Norton family. It fills in some gaps. Barb
Hi Kathy, How are you related to the Bussell/Bustle line? I don't know the parents of Martha Ann Brown but I will let you know if I come across the info. I do know that she was born 1832 VA, died 6/9/1869 KY (37 Yrs.) I went to the website that you mentioned---that was neat. Obviously these Jones women were liked by the family because so many named their children after them. I would like to find other death certificates. If I need any help finding my way around the website-- I will get back to you. Well it is late. Gotta go. Barb
