Cassy-- I hope this helps. I have a few directions to some cemeteries I received from a funeral home. It shows two cemeteries of the name Jones. Here are the locations as it reads: "Jones (Girdler): On Hwy. 11 North from Barbourville, go to cemetery behind store beside school." I wonder if this cemetery is also called the Hampton Cemetery at Girdler because the directions sound so similar. The directions for the Hampton Cemetery is: "Go to Girdler from Barbourville. Cemetery is on top of hill across from school to left." I've been there. You actually pass the school on Hwy. 11 and take an immediate right into a short lane that goes back to the cemetery. The kids were at recess when we were there. The fence divides the cemetery and the school property. "Jones (Barbourville): Go about 1/4 mile past Barbourville City Cemetery on Hwy. 25E (going East). On right side of highway." I've been to this one also, however, it has been a few years. We were eating at Wendy's and saw if from the restaurant. It is somewhat behind it. If I remember correctly, there was an abandoned service station with some tractor/trailers on the lot. Then when we were in Barbourville this past summer, we took the street back to the new hospital to see what was back there. This cemetery is back off the road on the right side of this street (west). There was no easy way to get to it. We walked over from Wendy's the year we went and walked through that vacant lot to get there. We had to walk up a small bank to get in it. However, I couldn't see much for headstones this past summer from the hospital road. It may be grown up. Hope this helps. I recently spoke with someone who has been to this cemetery and she gave me bad directions. Said it was off of HWY 11 but it isn't. I do know the general vacinity. It is over on HorseCreek, I was told by someone else near Sweet Hollow. I spoke with another person who said her grandpa owned the farm the cemetery was on. I asked her if she would give me directions and never heard back from her. ARGH.. I have a tombstone web site so I would love to find it myself..
