Hammonds b.1823 and Lucinda Ann Abner b.abt 1828 in Knox County. They were married abt 1847 in Owsley County (Marriage could be 1-10-1850) I found them on the 1850 Owsley Co. Census pg 278 - James is 26, Lucinda is 22 and Jane is 1. Owsley Cty was formed from part of Clay county in 1843. By the next Census of 1860 they are now part of Jackson County and have 5 children. I am trying to find James Hammons birthplace and birth parents. I have Knox County as the birth location for Lucinda Abner Hammond. Knox County has many Hammons/Hammonds listed in their census records 1810 through 1860. Any hlep finding the parents Of James W. would be greatly appreciated.
