The 1890 Fed. Census, in most all cases, was destroyed and does not exist for Knox Co., KY. As of the 1900, there is no Ellis ROSE listed. Are you sure it was Knox Co., KY and not perhaps some other state??? Or, it may have been one of the nearby KY counties. In any case, perhaps if you come back to this posting or your original posting and add in any other information you have such as where he grew up, his wife, his children, where they all lived, perhaps someone can be of further help. When and where did he die? Who were his parents? What is YOUR relationship to this Ellis ROSE? Is it possible he had some other name. As an example, could he have been a William "Ellis" ROSE or an Ambrose "Ellis" ROSE. These are just examples and not actual listings I have seen.
