    1. DANIC family
    2. Joyce Collins
    3. RESPONSE: There is no DANIC family showing on either the 1850 or 1860 Fed. Census. On the 1850, John T. shows as follows: Dwelling 429-437 WILLIAMS, Jacob, 70, laborer, b. VA . . Permelia A., M., 34, b. VA . . John T., 14, b. VA * * . . Thomas A., 12, b. VA . . Sarah A., 10, b. VA . . James P., 7, b. VA . . Mary F., 4, b. TN MITCHELL, Didra M., 55, b. VA NOTE: No doubt this Jacob WILLIAMS was married at least once or more times prior to the marriage to the Permelia A. M. listed. I am assuming she is his wife vs. a dau. Didra M. MITCHELL could be the mother of Permelia A. or possibly even one of Jacob's sisters or similar. With regard to marriage records, there is this one marriage record which "could" be your John T. WILLIAMS based on his birth place and age matching but . . . the marriage is not to any Charity. It is as follows from the Knox Co. Marriage Book B sold by the Knox Co. Gen. Society: August 18, 1853 - - see page 85 for additional information WILLIAMS, John to Frankey CARTER Mar. by: Calvin PRICHARD Wit: Henry TERRELL and Isaac CARTER From page 85: WILLIAMS, John, age 18, b. Bedford Co., VA to Frances "Frankey" CARTER . the date has been changed to read: August 8, 1853. Her age is listed as: "42 years" and she was born in Knox Co. This bunch is gone by the time of the 1860 Knox Co. There were basically no birth records maintained in Ky prior to 1911. Dates have come from Bible records, stones, and from a few bits and pieces of records left behind. It is very incomplete at best.
