On March 15, 1810 he purchased five hundred acres of land on Old Lynn Camp Creek (see Deed Book B, on page 89, Knox County Court Clerks Office). On August 20, 1819 he purchased one hundred acres more of land adjoining the other tract, (see Deed Book C., on page 209 in Knox C. Court Clerks Office.) His death seems to be prior to the fall of 1854, as the Knox County Court appointed Commissioners, November Term 1854, to Lay off and divide the land belonging to Ephriam Moore, between his legal heirs namely Rosannah Harris, Joab L. Moore, Kisiah Norvell, Deborah Pemberton, and the legal Heirs of Martin Moore, and Elizabeth Hammock, (Wesley Moore, having died and leaving no heirs); Therefore the Commissioners having completed their work made their report to the Knox County Court February 1855, and were dismissed. Note: I haven't found Ephraim Moore in the 1850 census, so I believe he died a few years prior to the land division in 1854.
