After asking several Bargo relatives, Julie Bargo said James was the son of Farmer Bargo, and Clara was the daughter of Clark & Mary Bargo Mills. She was told they had a short marriage. I have two other husbands for Clara Mills, McKinley Edwards & later to Charles Hammons. I also have two marriages for James Bargo, Bertha Jackson & Sally Jones. Clara Mills appears to have a daughter Altie Bargo whom later changed her record to Alta Edwards. Altie Bargo 11-13-1921 Knox to Clarie Mills Vol 118 Cert 58938 Year reg. 1921 Alta Edwards 11-14-1922 Knox to Clara Mills Vol 045 Cert 22429 Year reg. 1943 per death certificate of Elijah Bargo b. September, 1923 d. 11-15-1923 Knox s/o James & Clara Mills Bargo. Elijah's birth not registered. per Ky Birth Index: William J. Edwards b. 9-6-1923 Whitley Co. to Clara Mills Vol 103 Cert 51264 Year reg. 1923 If William J. Edwards "is not this Clara's" son, the family fits! If he is "this Clara's" son, she couldn't have had two children so close together, and I have a big mistake to fix. Does anyone have this William J. Edwards in your files? Or a marriage between Clara Mills & James "Jim" Bargo?
