Only his name and rank, that of Private, is listed with no other information. Isaac DOVER is listed as are quite a number of others, all who served in the War of 1812. These names comprise the roll of the company of Captain Ambrose ARTHUR and his men. My gg-grandfather, Cornelius Alexander TAYLOR (1794; 1874) was part of this same company. Captain Ambrose ARTHUR in his affidavit for a land bounty in 1851 stated he was a Captain in the 13th Regiment of Kentucky Volunteers commanded by Col. William DUDLEY.
