    3. RESPONSE: Based upon these census listings, there is probably enough information to support which Annie MESSER she was. First for some reason, I am missing a page in my 1900 Bell Co. Fed. Census Book and it is the very page I need. Here is what I show from the Index: ED12 - 1900 Dwelling 47 MESSER, James . . Rachel . . Anner * * * . . Corda . . Lonnor . . Pearlie . . Rachel At Dwelling ED12 - Dwelling 30 is the listing for Steven D. MESSER and his wife, Rebecca and their children. I know you have that listing. They are so close they are probably related. Returning to the 1910 and the James MeSSER family : Dwelling 0031 - ED 0020 MESSER, james, 45 . . Rachel, 42, wife . . Anna, 21, KY * * * . . Andrew, 19 . . Lonna, 14 . . Pearl, 12 . . Grant, 10 . . plus one non-relative Returning to the 1900 Bell Co. and in ED12, Dwelling 26 SMITH, Elijah, 51 . . Lucindy, wife, 37 . . James, son, 16 . . Andrew, son, 16 . . Jack, son, 13 . . Johney, son, 7 * * * . . Willie, son, 4 . . Kittie, dau, 1 I would think it is highly likely that the Anner/Anna MESSER in the home of James and Rachel MESSER is the one who married the nearby Johney/John SMITH from the same area; however, cannot be entirely sure.
