MARRIED Elizabeth Dyke. He is also found in Knox County . He was the father of abt 11 childern, with a few of their names being, Mahalia, Deliah and Melvina.. But they are not the same people that are listed in these earlier records. Is there a connection between William GAINS (1780-1791) and William GOIN (1803) The death certificates for both Mary A Helton and Jane Helton lists the father as William Gains, but the A could be a O.... And there is no mothers name listed..Family legends say the last name was GAINES. Wondering if anyone has found any info on him or any of his childern. Thanks Patti
