Is it possible we are speaking of the same-named persons from different generations? The Sarah and the Susannah "Susan" BROUGHTON, dau.'s of William BROUGHTON and Elizabeth NICHOLSON (parents both dead by 1860 and before) were both both in abt. 1811 and 1813 respectively. Sarah mar. John HIGNITE on Jan. 15, 1829 in Knox Co. and Susan mar. John BRIGHT, Sr. abt. 1833. They also had siblings John BROUGHTON who mar. Sarah PAYNE in 1830; William BROUGHTON, Jr. who married mariah GREEN and Mariah/Almira SCALF and Stacy BROUGHTON who mar. James HAMMONS. I haven't really looked at this file in a long, long time.
