I was going to add, William Gambrel's children Amanda & Sterling (my direct line) lived on Stinking Creek in Knox County, so I wondered how Lincoln Gambrel ended up on Sruce Pine in Fount, Knox County, KY. It's a long drive! My cousin Don and I discussed this, and we were told there are certain spots where you just cross the mountain and your on Road Fork or Middle Fork of Stinking Creek, so as the crow flys it wasn't hard at all.
