How and why they were brought here I don't know. I asked the auctioneer but he was very reluctant to give me any information whatsoever. He considered it a privacy issue which didn't make sense to me since he was selling them. I bought the letters because I was interested in them and felt that I could preserve them. I'm not related to any of the family but do many little genealogy and local history projects so this fit right in w/ what I like to do. I imagine that someday they will be donated to the Kentucky State Archives at Frankfurt. Thanks for asking, kje
