July 30, 1887 in Knox Co. mar. in 1906 to Polly GRAY, b. 1888 in Knox Co.; died April 6, 1976 at Barbourville, Knox Co. Buried Hinkle Branch, Knox Co. Milton died Spt 29, 1954 Knox Co.; buried Barbourville City Cem. Polly was the dau. of Pete and Hulda (GARLAND) GRAY. Polly married 2nd to a McALISTER. Children: Virginia Jean, b. 1904 Arthur, b. 1906 Eugene, b. Apr 29, 1908 Charles, b. 1909 Chester, b. Sept 2, 1912 Sudie, b. 1914 Bertha, b. Nov 2, 1919 Boyd, b. Mar 2, 1921 Walter, b. Jul 25, 1923 Ruth , b. Mar 11, 1925 Raymond, b. 1931 Glenn, b. Sep 27, 1932 Milton's parents were: Silas BINGHAM, b. 1849 and Elizabeth/Betty SCALF, b. Sept 9, 1869 Apparently in his earlier years, he went by the name, BROWN, but later in life changed his name to BINGHAM because that was really who he was and at the request of his children. Silas' parents were: Samuel BINGHAM and Elizabeth BROWN. Samuel BINGHAM b. 1818 mar. lst in 1838 to mary Ann BINGHAM, b. 1820. Elizabeth BROWN was the dau. of Will and Cassandra BROWN. Cassandra was a sister to Steve BROWN who married Samue's sister, Thursa Ann BINGHAM. So, Silas was born to Elizabeth BROWN while Samuel was married Mary Ann BINGHAM. On the 1900 Knox Co., here is: Dwelling 174-174 GRAY, Peter, husband, b. 10-1856, 43, mar. 2 yrs., b. KY; parents b. KY . Martha, wife, b. 8-1863, 36, mar. 2 yrs, 6 born; 4 living, b. KY; parents b. KY . Rebecca, dau, b. 7-1878, 21, single, Ky . Gilbert, son, b. 3-1887, 13, KY . Pollie, dau, b. 8-1889, 10, KY * * NOTE: There is obviously another marriage here for this Peter GRAY.
