The information provided by Jean that Telithia's parents or father appears to be a G. T.? MESSER provides an additional Clue. With Jean's information that parts of this family ended up in IL and also with the knowledge that some of the MESSERs went to MO, I found (I think) Celia A. BAKER MESSER in 1920 as follows: 1920 Jackson Co. , IL Makanda Township Dwelling 47-49 MESSER, Celia, age 70, widow, b. KY, parents b. KY . Palestine, grandson, 5 yrs+, b. IL, father b. KY; mother b. IN . Louise, grandau., 4 yrs+, b. "MO", father b. KY; mother b. IN NOTE: Her age is almost correct from her age as she shows listed with her husband, Gorden MESSER on the 1880 Knox: Dwelling 201-208 MESSER, Gorden, 24, husband, b. KY; parents b. KY . . Cealy, 24, wife, b. KY; parents b. KY . Wesley,4, son, b. KY . . Pallas, 2, son, b. KY (they even had a son , Palestine/Pallas for whom the little grandson was probably named) . .Frank C., 2 mo's, b. KY Cassy, I don't know where I got it but I have a possible place of death for Edward MESSER as St. Louis, MO. Certainly would appear that Gorden Thomas/ G. T./etc. and his wife either left at the same time or shortly thereafter. One can see that this family was moving around in MO, IL as Jean has pointed out to us. Jean, I'd like to know more about that cemetery listing you found in Union Co., IL. I could not locate Celia on the 1930 which is probably because of some "off" spelling of her name.
