Mitchell ; Taken from the Abstracts of the Revolutionary War Pension Files; No# R7276 PA. Line. Soldier was born in January 22,1759 at Bristol ,England and landed in America on April 1, 1772 at Philadelphia PA. and he lived there until at enlistment and after his service he settled in Mecklenburg Co. North Carolina ,where he taught school until 1789, then he moved to Newberry District South Carolina, then he moved on to Edgefield District South Carolina. Soldier had married in 1782 (wife not named). Soldier was deceased in 1852, a daughter Sarah Riley of Edgefield District South Carolina in 1852 was the only surviving child and the only one named. { There was just Sarah (Mitchell) Riley and William W. Mitchell alive in 1852, because he is on the Knox Co. Ky. census up until his death sometime after 1860} After finding this in the records of North Carolina, I called Mrs. Riley and she is going to send me copies from the real bible that this information came out of. Just thought you might enjoy the information to pass along on to anyone who could use the info..Sincerely, Donna<
