In this book, your Colson BROWN is presented as the son of Silas COMBS. Here is just a little information: "Adaline BROWN, dau. of Thursey, dau. of John, b. Apr 1850 in Knox Co. and George NORTON b. 1847 in NC and Elijah HOBBS b. Jun 18, 1853 in Clay Co., KY. Adaline died in 1919. Adaline never married; however, she did have three children. You know he used the surname, BROWN, throughout his life. You might want to check his death cert to see who was named on it.
