I have only been there once and only for a couple of hours. I barely got through marriage records and started on Will records. I know that a lot of records were destroyed in 1964 when the courthouse was moved. But what records still exist? Are there deed books? How detailed are the wills and probate records? Also, do any court minutes/records still exist from the early days (early 1800's)? I have several lines who came into Knox County anywhere from 1798 through 1820 and I would love to be able to do some detailed research on my next visit. Just wondered what still existed and where to start. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks, Michele Kemper Knox Co lines: Baker, Dean, Frederick, Walker, Stewart
