    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CBB.2ACE/5896.1 Message Board Post: Michele, I've only been there a few times, years apart and had very little time while there. I was not able to find old deed books but got hold of "Survey Book A" and found a lot of surveys that were very interesting. Some referred back to Treasury Warrants dated 1788 and were for 1000's of acres. Most give names of people surveying with them and neighbor's names on conditional lines. The records give name of person survey is for, who assigned the warrant if not same person, number and date of warrant, number of acres, and watercourse the land is near. Don't know if this is one of your Walkers but I picked up a little bit of this record with one on the same page as someone I was researching --- ======= Surveyed for RENOLDS WALKER, 136 acres of land by virtue of a Knox Circuit Court Certificate No. 146 and bearing date April 6th, 1813. Situated lying and being in the County of Knox on the Clear Fork of Cumberland River: …. (end of page220). ======= You may want to check page 221 .....
