As you may or may not know, Harrison TAYLOR b. 1836; d. 1904 was my g-grandfather. Alice, also known as" Allie/Alley or Alley E. TAYLOR was the dau. of Mary Ann HUTCHINS TAYLOR and Harrison TAYLOR . Mary Ann HUTCHINS was b. abt. 1844 in Harlan Co., kY. Her parents had come into KY from Rutherford Co., NC and by 1850 were in Clay Co., kY. Mary Ann HUTCHIN's parents were: John HUTCHINS and Lourannah BIGGERSTAFF HUTCHINS. I descend through Alice TAYLOR's brother who was Garrett TAYLOR b. 1872; d. 1954 in Bell Co., KY, through Garrett TAYLOR's son, Harrison TAYLOR b. 1912; d. 1966 in OH (my Dad). Denisius SIMPSON was b. abt. 1843 in KY ; married Feb. 1, 1869 in Bell Co., KY to Nancy MILLS b. ab. 1850; d. Sept 6, 1912. Nancy MILLS was a child of Nasby MILLS, Jr. and Elizabeth "Betsy" BAKER. Denisius SIMPSON and Nancy MILLS SIMPSON were the parents of Green Q SiMPSON b. Dec. 4, 1873 in Knox Co. I have that he married lst to Sarah "Sallie" BROWN on Sept 3, 1892 in Knox Co. And that he later married Alice TAYLOR on Oct 12, 1894 in Knox Co. By the time of the 1900 Fed. Census, Alice is back in the home of her father, Harrison TAYLOR, and his 2nd wife, Lucy HOWARD TAYLOR. She is shown as a divorced person with 2 children born and 2 living. NOTE: I have never uncovered this 2nd child. It would appear from all my later records that in the home of Denisius SiMPSON and his wife is Green SIMPSON, also shown as divorced. There is a little grandson, listed as Nathan, b. 4-1897 in this household. As far as Nathan/Dyanisius "Nish" SIMPSON I have him on the 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930 fed. census. Earlier on he is living close to his mother, Alice TAYLOR, who goes on to remarry several times. She lived primarily in Fayette Co., Lexington, KY. Nish will eventually die in Harlan Co. KY on Mar 23, 1974. Alice TAYLOR will die on Dec. 3, 1958 in Lexington, KY as Alice CREEKBAUM. Harrison TAYLOR was a son of Cornelius Alexander TAYLOR b. 1795; d. 1874 and his wife, Sarah Ann WALKER (dau. of Walter WALKER) b. 1795 d. ca 1885.
