However, I checked the 1900 Knox Co. and there was no Charles/Charlie BUCHANAN present in Knox Co., KY. Here is his death cert information. You will have to order this death certificate from the State of KY. Hopefully it will confirm his parentage for you. The deat cert may also say who handled the burial or which cemetery he was to be buried in. Charlie S. BUCHANAN died in Knox Co., KY on 12-9-1962 at the age of 62; recorded in 1962; Vol. 057, Cert 28332 I would think the reason you don't find him on the SSDI is because he was NOT 65 and/or was not drawing Social Security or other government benefits at the time of his death. You don't say who he was married to or who any of his children were or when any were born (even if approx.). That would have helped me tie him down.
